Station or coach station?
Victoria has two busy transport hubs a short walk apart. The railway station serves the south coast, Sussex and Kent, including Brighton, Eastbourne and Canterbury, plus the Gatwick Express. Victoria Coach Station, on Buckingham Palace Road, is the main departure point for National Express and many European coach services. Tell us which one you need so we can drop you at the right door, because walking between them with luggage takes longer than you might expect.
Why not take the train into Victoria?
From Twickenham there is no direct train to Victoria. You would usually change at Clapham Junction, which means stairs and a busy footbridge. For early coaches and trains, when services are thin, a car is simpler.
How we get there
Victoria is one of the closer central London stations to Twickenham. Drivers usually head through Richmond or along the A316 and then east via Putney or Wandsworth, crossing the river at Chelsea or Vauxhall. On a clear road it takes around 35 minutes; in rush hour it can be closer to an hour. These are typical times, and your driver will check traffic before setting off.
Victoria is inside London's Congestion Charge zone. If your journey is during charging hours, please ask us whether the charge applies and whether it is included in your quote.

Picking up from Victoria
Arriving on a late coach or train? We run 24/7 and will be there to take you home. Just give us your arrival time and call if it changes. The fixed fare stays the same.
Travelling as a group
Coach trips and group holidays often involve several people with bags. Our 6 seater taxi is a good choice for five or six, while the 7 seater taxi takes up to seven or eight passengers. If you are staying in a central hotel near Victoria first, our hotel transfer taxi can take you there instead.
Victoria for day trips to the coast
Brighton and Eastbourne are popular day trips from Victoria, especially in summer. Many of our customers book a car to the station in the morning and another home in the evening, so there is no need to change at Clapham Junction on the way back with tired children. Book both journeys together and just call us if your train home changes.
Coach travel from Victoria
Coaches are a budget-friendly way to travel across the UK and to Europe, but many early departures leave before public transport is running well. Victoria Coach Station can also be confusing on a first visit, with several gates. Arrive with time to find your gate, especially if you are travelling with bags or with someone who walks slowly. We can drop you as close to the entrance as the roads allow.
Getting there for Gatwick Express
Some travellers ask for a lift to Victoria so they can catch the Gatwick Express. From Twickenham, a direct taxi to Gatwick usually avoids a trip into central London and back out again, and your cases stay in one car the whole way. Victoria makes more sense if you are meeting people there, catching a coach from the coach station, or heading somewhere on the Southern or Southeastern lines. We are happy to help you weigh up the options when you call.
Getting home from Victoria late
Victoria is busy late at night, especially after concerts and West End shows. If you know when you will be finishing, book a pickup in advance and agree a meeting point, such as a quieter side street near the station. Our driver will call when they are nearby. If you are going home to Richmond or St Margarets rather than Twickenham, tell us when you book so the fare reflects the full journey.
Other central stations
Waterloo and Charing Cross are nearby if your train leaves from there. We collect for Victoria from Teddington, Strawberry Hill and the rest of our local area.
