7 seater or 8 seater?
Both are larger vehicles with more room than a standard MPV. A 7 seater suits a group of seven with sensible luggage. An 8 seater gives you one more seat. With fewer passengers, it can also be used for extra luggage space. When you book, tell us the number of passengers and bags and we will send the right one.
Where larger groups go
Some of the journeys we do most in our larger vehicles:
- Airport runs for big families, particularly to Heathrow and Stansted in the school holidays.
- Golf trips, where clubs take up a lot of space.
- Wedding parties, getting guests from the hotel to the ceremony and on to the reception. See our hotel transfer taxi page for more.
- Match days and concerts at Twickenham Stadium, when a group wants to arrive and leave together.
- Nights out in town, like a West End show near Charing Cross.
- Corporate groups travelling to meetings, conferences or the airport.
Luggage guide
Larger vehicles carry more, but space still runs out if every seat is taken and everyone has a big case. As a rough guide:
| Passengers | Large suitcases | Best choice |
|---|---|---|
| 6 to 7 | One each | 7 or 8 seater |
| 7 to 8 | Mostly cabin bags | 8 seater |
| 8 with a large case each | Too much for one vehicle | Two vehicles, for example an 8 seater plus an estate |
This table is a guide only, so tell us your exact numbers and we will confirm before the day.
Match day planning
Twickenham Stadium events close local roads and fill up the area for hours before and after kick-off. If you are booking a group to or from a match or concert, book early, and we will agree a pickup point outside the closures. It may be a short walk from the stadium, but it saves a long wait in traffic.
One fare for the whole group
The fare is fixed when you book and covers the whole vehicle. Split between seven or eight people, it often works out cheaper than two or three separate cars. You can pay by card or cash, and for work trips we can provide a receipt.
Child seats and accessibility
Child seats are available on request. If anyone in the group has mobility needs, let us know so we can plan enough time for getting in and out, and bring the right vehicle.
Airport runs for extended families
Grandparents, parents and children all flying together is when our larger vehicles really earn their keep. Everyone travels in one vehicle, nobody gets left behind, and the luggage goes with you rather than in a second car. Tell us about pushchairs, car seats and any mobility aids, as these all take up space.
How to book a larger vehicle
Larger vehicles are in higher demand than saloons, especially in school holidays and on match days, so book as early as you can. Tell us the number of people, the number and size of cases, and any extra items such as buggies, car seats or sports equipment. If you are not sure whether everything will fit, send us a quick description and we will advise. We would rather suggest a second car in advance than have a group left at the kerb.
On the day, have everyone ready at the pickup point at the booked time. Loading a big group takes a few minutes longer than a couple, so for airport trips we build that time into the pickup plan. On the way home, our driver will track your flight and meet you inside if you have booked meet and greet. For smaller groups a 6 seater taxi may be enough, and for families with pets see our pet friendly taxi page.
Other services and areas
For smaller groups, our 6 seater taxi may be enough. Our larger vehicles collect from Richmond, Whitton and across all the areas we cover.
