Strawberry Hill House
Strawberry Hill House was built in the 18th century by Horace Walpole, and it is one of the best-known examples of Gothic Revival architecture in the country. It is open to visitors at set times, and its white walls and pointed windows are hard to miss on Waldegrave Road. We can take you there from the station or from your home, and collect you after your visit.
St Mary's University
St Mary's University, Twickenham, has its main campus at Strawberry Hill. Students arrive at the start of term with a lot of luggage, and parents often need a car to or from Heathrow or a London station like Paddington or King's Cross. International students flying in for the first time often choose meet and greet, so a driver waits for them in arrivals. Visiting lecturers and guests use us too.
Strawberry Hill station
Strawberry Hill station sits where two local lines meet, with trains towards Twickenham, Kingston, Shepperton and Waterloo. It is useful for short trips, but not always convenient with big bags. We can collect you from the station if you arrive with luggage and are heading somewhere the trains do not go.
Radnor Gardens and the river
Radnor Gardens, a small riverside park on Cross Deep, is a nice spot for a walk or a coffee. The Thames path runs along this stretch towards Teddington Lock. If you are out walking and want a lift back, call us and tell us where you are.

Moving in and out of halls
The start and end of term are busy times for students at St Mary's. Moving boxes, bags and bedding between home, halls and the station is much easier with a larger car. Our estate cars and larger vehicles give plenty of room. Tell us how much you are carrying when you book, and we will send the right car.
Local walks
Strawberry Hill is a lovely area for walking, with quiet streets, the river and Radnor Gardens close by. If you are visiting and walking to Teddington or Twickenham, we can pick you up at the end.
Getting to and from St Mary's for events
St Mary's University hosts open days, graduations, sports fixtures and conferences throughout the year. On these days the roads around Waldegrave Road can be busy, and parking is limited. A taxi means you can arrive at the entrance rather than searching for a space, and our driver can collect you at an agreed time afterwards. Visiting families often stay in hotels nearby, and our hotel transfer taxi service can take them from the hotel to the campus and back.
If you are heading home from Strawberry Hill after an event, especially with a lot of luggage or a group of relatives, consider a 7 seater taxi. For students flying home at the end of term, we regularly drive to Heathrow and Gatwick.

Strawberry Hill House attracts visitors from across London and beyond, and many arrive by train to Strawberry Hill station, which is a short walk from the gates. If you are coming from further away, or you have trouble walking, a taxi to the entrance on Waldegrave Road is simpler. Check the house's own website for opening days before you book, as they vary through the year. After your visit, we can take you on to Hampton for Hampton Court Palace, or back to Twickenham for a meal by the river.
